Episonic was founded by composer Richard Wilkinson, known for his videogame work on titles like Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality, Peaky Blinders VR, plus sound design and music work for the BBC, Netflix, Universal, Sony, Disney and many more. They are a team of hand-picked sonic artisans with decades of experience between them, covering recording, production, composition, sound design and mixing.

Episonic is a sound design agency specialising in sonic branding, audio logos and music & sound for advertising and brands.
where?
Episonic is effectively everywhere, thanks to the magic of the internet. But for practical purposes like timezones for calls, or in-person meetings, we are in Brighton (in the UK), about an hour south of London Bridge.
why?

This is because sonic logos can evoke positive emotions and create a sense of familiarity and trust. There are two main reasons for Episonic’s creation. The first is the emergence of audio as a powerful branding tool, especially as video is becoming such a dominant force in the social space as it is with traditional media. Sonic Identity can communicate your brand’s tone of voice, ethos, and purpose – and if done well can create an even stronger impression of the brand in people’s minds.
The second reason is the amount of ill-executed or generic sonic branding that is present at the moment. Audio logos can be as short as 2 or 3 seconds, and the skill and experience needed to communicate anything effectively in that time, let alone something that perfectly aligns with the entity it represents, is uncommon. An unmemorable, badly produced or mixed, or aesthetically mismatched piece of sonic branding will actively hurt your brand.
With that in mind, we wanted to offer brands and campaigns the peace of mind that we will create a sonic identity which lasts; sounds great; fits your vision; and elevates the stories you tell.
